I would say a 1 1/2 Coilspring is definatly the way to go for you average sized coon, Or a 160 Coni is prefered by me, but some use 220's that works well also, but is a bit more exspensive.

the #11 is a little powerhouse when i comes to coon, no matter the size... again it comes down to trap placement, always does. i use lots of #1 1/2 though too. as far as conis go i think you can get em in almost anythin. ive seen guys get em in #120s before but i use mostly #220. just my two cents

#11 and 1 1/2 coils are the best and for conis i use 220 with the triger spread apart like a upside down v

ive only used cage traps, but the one that i have caught the most coon in is prolly about 3 feet by 1 foot.
